Firefighters say the East Fork wildfire was started by an arsonist. The fire started on Sunday in the Apalachicola National Forest.

About 8,400 acres have burned and the fire is just 20 percent contained. Fire officials estimate it will be another eleven days until the fire will be fully contained.

One hundred twenty three people from several agencies are working together to battle the blaze. To prevent the fire from spreading, firefighters will use controlled burns, which means smoke will continue to hover over surrounding areas, including Tallahassee.
