A Tallahassee resident is chasing his dreams and heading to Daytona to compete in the first race of speed week.

68-year-old Benny Chastain will race in the ARCA 200 race at the Daytona International Speedway this Saturday.

The senior race car driver is sponsored by AARP and is participating in the 'Drive to End Hunger" where he will compete in 8 races and raise funds to help end hunger among Older Americans.

"This is kind of the beginning of a big thing for me, this is bigger than anything I ever dreamed I could do. Having AARP as a sponsor, it's opening doors that I could have never go through," said Chastain.

Chastain will head to Daytona Thursday morning to prepare for the big race.

If he can dodge the 23 wrecks in the first 20 laps, he's got a good shot. Go Benny go!
