Hunting, Fishing Licenses Could Cost More

Get ready to dig deeper into your pockets. Hunting and fishing may be getting pricier.

A bill before Florida lawmakers would raise the cost of hunting and fishing licenses.

Anglers and hunters would pay $17.50 a year instead of $11 or $12 a year.

Most states already charge about $20 a year.

Kenneth Hobbs owns a fishing and hunting license and often has to pay to hunt in other states as well.

"If it goes a dollar here, a dollar there, I could live with that, but if it doubles like Georgia did on its one day hunting license, I don't agree with that at all."

The fees would go back into the State Game Trust Fund for research and management.
