Time is quickly running out for those of you who have yet to file your income tax return.
Tax preparers are helping folks file for free at Tallahassee's Dr. B.L. Perry Library.
Big Bend residents whose household income is less than $40,000 can get help Monday night until 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"I'm new to Tallahassee and I had not done my own taxes in fourteen years, and I felt that I needed to have some professional help," said Marie Primas-Bradshaw. "When the opportunity came to get free help to get my taxes done, I thought it was such a blessing."
The free tax preparation service is provided by the "BEST" Project which is funded by a variety of sources including the City of Tallahassee, the United Way and Big Bend
2-1-1. It's already helped more than 500 people this year.
The Dr. B.L. Perry Branch Library is located at 2817 South Adams Street in Tallahassee right across the street from the main post office.
