A historic U.S. flag, flown all over the world, has made its home in the Rose City.

Master Sergeant Shane Saddler with the United States Air Force donated a special flag to the Jack Hadley Museum of Black History.

Officials say the flag waved over Tuskegee Airman during World War II and flew over Afghanistan during President Obama's inauguration, and the flag's final stop wouldn't be anywhere else but Hadley's musuem.

"Chief Hadley, he is a pretty inspirational person. He went through a time when our Air Force really had a lot of change that went on. I thought it was important with Barack Obama's inauguration, such a historic time, some way to honor it and his museum was definitely the one that came to mind," Master Sergeant Shane Saddler said.

The flag is currently on display at the museum... along with thousands of other black history artifacts from south Georgia and north Florida.
