The city hired a consultant to find out what changes are necessary to better mark the route to the airport and make the airport itself easier to navigate.
The consultant says after years of use, the baggage claim area needs to be upgraded.
Philip Inglese, Assistant Director of Aviation: "The airport is over 15 years old now, and we've been having an exciting time with a lot passenger growth and with any facility like ours that see more than a million people going through it we have things wearing out, and we need upgrades."
The city says there will be upgrades for the signs inside the airport to help keep travelers moving, also there will be more signs to help people get to the airport.
Finally, more changes will be made to the perimeter road around the airport.
