A south Georgia school gets a hefty check to help teach students how to make the right decisions.
Thomasville High School recently received a $2,000 grant from the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
School officials say the money will be used to enhance the Students Against Destructive Decisions organization on campus- which
encourages students not to drink and drive or do drugs among other things.
"We want them to just think about what they're doing so they realize that thing could change their life. And look at your friend and tell them that may not be the right decision for you. Think of the future," Barbara Peralta, S.A.D.D. advisor, said.
School officials say they're using the grant money to buy supplies, plan more activities and help with the club's largest program- a Safety Expo in April.
