After a one year hiatus Red Hills welcomed thousands of people from all over the world.
Riders competed for a shot at the World Equestrian Games.
The three day horse trials features riders of all ages, who participate in the dressage, cross country jumping and show jumping.
This is Red Hills 13th year, and previous organizers say this year's horse trials was one of the most highly anticipated.
"I think everybody missed it so much and were eager for it come back. You go around town and everyone would say they sure missed Red Hills last year," said former organizer, Sylvia Ochs.
Sallie Ausley is also a former organizer and she agrees. "It sets this event apart from others because the community gets so involved and competitors love to come," she said.
This year's horse trials also featured several new safety techniques and studies that can benefit both horses and riders.
