The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation had their annual walk for the cure Saturday in Greenville.

Hundreds showed up for the walk including kids, adults and even their furry friends.

One of those kids was Connor Hassal who is nine. He suffers from Juvenile Diabetes but he is pumped up to be racing his friends

"I am so excited, I just can’t wait to race Taylor," said Hassal.

Connor designed his team t-shirt and he also had over 100 friends and family who came out to support him Saturday.

His mom Heather Hassal said since his diagnosis in 2008 they haven't let it affect their lives.

"You know we just roll with it. We still go to the beach will still do everything. My kids very active," said Hassal.

"He jumps in the swimming pool and other than pricking his finger you wouldn't know he has diabetes," Hassal continued.

It was a two mile run or walk that everyone seemed to enjoy.

WITN is a proud sponsor of this event.
