Northwest Airlines plans to charge more for domestic tickets not booked through the company's Web sites. If you call Northwest's reservation line to buy a ticket, you'll now pay $5 extra and a $10 fee if you purchase your seat at an airport ticket counter.
The company expects the changes will save them about $70 million a year.
