[UPDATE] February 10, 2012

Police say they're setting the record straight about a car crash that killed a three month old baby inside a home. Valdosta Police say the car that crashed into a home killing Cory Dixon was not being chased by police.

Valdosta Police Chief Charles Simons said "we have concluded based on a number of different pieces of evidence that no pursuit occurred."

According to the report, the Chevy Equinox being driven by 23-year-old Willis Dotson slammed into the home at 2:33 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Since then, rumors and allegations have emerged alleging the driver was being pursued by Valdosta Police. The report states that the pursuit was not only improbable, but impossible.

The report says the police vehicle in question never activated its lights or siren. The report also says two witnesses support the story that there was no chase. The Police vehicle was also reported to be traveling at speeds far below the 30 mile-per-hour limit.

Reverend Rose of the Serenity Church in Valdosta says "there's too many questions. I'm not accusing the police of anything. There's some questions. The young man [Willis Dotson] told me he was being chased."

Valdosta Police Chief Charles Simons said "It's easy to stand in a room and say what you feel. Say what you think. Unfortunately the world can't operate off what an individual feels or thinks or could be or may be. We operate off facts."

Anyone with information on this accident is urged to contact Valdosta Police.

WHat @Jessica speaks of is the truth. God also is the only one who judges us as well so why let your ignorance prevail against this young man? If God says something has be done, it will be done. Sometimes God takes us through trials and tribulations in order for people's eyes to be open. That baby cam here on this Earth for a reason. Once it was fulfilled, God wanted HIS child home again. This man who was involved in the accident has a purpose too. Both of these families are struggling at this point of time. God knows this. But, its all for a reason. Never questions God's calling or his purpose.

what difference does it make if there was a pursuit??? That young man caused the accident...he alone. He killed the baby! He chose to speed away from the pursuit if there was one so it is his fault alone.
