City of Tallahassee Release
Tallahassee, FL - In response to customer feedback, Tallahassee Regional Airport (TLH) announced today that it will extend the free parking period from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. The extended grace period will assist friends and relatives dropping off or picking up passengers at the terminal and benefits customers parking in both daily and hourly lots. The extended grace period will go into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
“The City of Tallahassee is committed to a passenger friendly airport experience,” said City Commissioner Scott Maddox, lead commissioner on airport issues. “This is one more small step to make air travel more convenient for our citizens.”
Customers will still have access to the cell phone lot as well, which can be used as a waiting area before picking up passengers.
Additionally, on January 1, TLH reduced the rate for the 9- to 24-hour curbside valet parking services from $20 to $15. The reduction was originally planned as a limited time offer to serve as an added customer service amenity during the Legislative Session. Based on positive customer feedback, the reduction has been made permanent.
Parking services at TLH are provided under contract by Republic Parking. Republic Parking accepts cash and major credit cards as forms of payment for parking fees.
