TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A Tallahassee man is now on trial for a deadly shooting outside of the Motel 6 on Apalachee Parkway back in March 2013.
Quanterius Dennis is now on trial for the murder of 27 year old Alfred Daise. Daise was found shot to death in his car at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Magnolia Drive.
Prosecutors say it was a robbery gone bad and say the confrontation was caught on surveillance video at the Motel 6.
Prosecutors say Dennis's friend and co-defendant will testify against him.
They told jurors that Dennis's fingerprints were found on Daise's car door handle.
They say Dennis also led police on a chase a few days after the shooting and officers say a 45 caliber gun found along the route matched shell casings found at the scene of the shooting.
Defense attorneys however say there is no DNA linking Quanterius Dennis to the gun and say the surveillance video is not clear enough to make out who was standing at Daise's driver side door.
Defense attorneys suggest the co-defendant has repeatedly changed his story and he and at least two other witnesses have felony records.
