Attempted First Degree Murder, Suspect Identified

Tallahassee, Florida - November 20, 2012

On November 19th, around 12:20pm, officers responded to McCaskill Avenue in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated he was driving his vehicle on Lake Bradford Road, when a group of individuals were blocking the road.

The victim pulled his vehicle to the side of the road and confronted the group. The confrontation escalated into an argument. The victim was able to get away from the group and fled back to his vehicle, at which time he was shot in the back of the head.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Patrol officers located the group that was involved in the initial confrontation.

There were approximately five individuals involved in the initial incident and they were all transported to the Tallahassee Police Department for questioning.

The Tallahassee Police Department’s Homicide Unit interviewed the subjects involved and developed a suspect. He was identified as 20 year-old Tahj Addison who was arrested and transported to the Leon County Jail.
