Hey don't get so worked up over this thing. I know a lot of people on here are blaming Marvin, personally, I don't know the boyfriend or the mother but we all have a choice over how we react and respond to any and everything in life. We have control over our emotions. Let me just say that the mother should not get this child back and the child should be placed in DCF. She is an unfit mother for leaving the child with this man she barely knew. I don't know what to say about the boyfriend, whether he is innocent or guilty, but I am glad he did have the sense to call 911. I'm glad the child is okay but the mother should get jail time.

EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE BUT KNOW THAT BEING BLACK IN MONITCELLO IS A DEATH SENTENCE. The sheriff office is very racist. Think about the reason why some buisnesses closes a half a day on Wednesday'S on Monticello...Commeration of lynchings.

According to census results, Monticello is predominately African American. So, my question to you is: if it is a death sentence to be black, why don't you all ban together and VOTE OUT the incumbents so that your demographic can be more clearly represented? Oh yeah, cause it is easier to whine about something that it is to FIX it. My bad.

      1. If everyone is black in Monticello, why did you people put in a racist sheriff? 2. Why don't you move if it's so terrible?

Marvin allegedly has 10-12 kids as of 2008 so imagine how many he has now. First off how can you care for someone else child and dont even take care of your own kids. I mean ALL his kids. Beating a child Marvin really!!! You cant possibly know how to care for someone else's child when you don't care for your own kids. The mother as neglegant anyway. You dont leave your kids with any man just because you are having relations with him. Project and hood Monitcello mothers just dont learn. Poor kid.

The REAL problem is the women who continue to have illegitimate children with anyone they can find on the street, including ones like this Marvin. Please ladies, have some self-respect and don't have children with someone who isn't committed to you enough to marry you. Our country would be a totally different place if every child was born to TWO parents who were committed to each other and wanted him or her.

Michelle,You always have something to say, but the fact of the matter is a child is hurt do to an unfit mother the whole jefferson county knows about and now is trying to play innocent. because what mother would leave their children with a man that she has only knew two months.I personally think the baby had an underlying condition and marvin is being blamed. instead he should be honored as a hero for calling 911. because it clearly stated no physical evidence of abuse on the child....God bless you ignorant people.
