Be Prepared For Hurricane Season, Be A 'Force Of Nature'

With the start of the 2013 US Hurricane Season upon us Quincy Police Chief Walt McNeil is spearheading an effort to educate the residents of Quincy on planning and preparing in advance for what is predicted to be an active hurricane season.

To emphasize and reinforce the importance of taking hurricane season serious the City of Quincy has adopted the theme : “Be A Force of Nature” to encourage citizens to learn what to do and then do those things in advance to help save lives and reduce their chance of being injured. Part of the educational campaign includes a training video created by the Chief and his staff discussing hurricanes, shelters, emergency response and emergency supply kits.
