Tallahassee FL- Kegs were tapped as thousands drank during Tallahassee's 7th annual Brewfest tonight. More than 230 different beers from 30 different breweries served more than two thousand people from the big bend.
Every year the Sunrise Rotary hosts this event in hopes of raising awareness for their organization while raising funds for local charities.
Brewfest Chair, Lorie Grooms explained, "So none of this is done for profit it's all non-for profit. So, the goal is to just put all this money back into the Tallahassee community and make it bigger and better. "
About $43,000 was raised through Saturdays event. Those who attended were able to vote for the charity they would like to support. This year attendees picked the Alzheimer's Project.
