The area includes HWY 90 10/90 area, the Rustling Pines Subdivision, Highbridge Rd, Old Federal Rd, Spooner Rd, Hosford Hwy, Ben Bostick Rd, Sawdust Rd and Atlanta St. .

Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Gadsden County

There is a Precautionary Boil Water Notice in effect for Talquin Electric Cooperative water members in the Gadsden County service area South of HWY 90. The area includes HWY 90 10/90 area, the Rustling Pines Subdivision, Highbridge Rd, Old Federal Rd, Spooner Rd, Hosford Hwy, Ben Bostick Rd, Sawdust Rd and Atlanta St. The notice is due to the inclement weather. Only members of Talquin Electric Cooperative in this area are affected.

Instructions

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using it for drinking or cooking.

What is being done?

The problem has been corrected. We are collecting samples to assure the water is safe and will have the results within 48 hours. We will keep you informed of the steps we are taking to protect your drinking water.
