[UPDATE] Arrest Made In Centennial Bank Robbery

[UPDATE] Woodville, Florida- August 23, 2012- 12:23 am

On Friday, August 3, 2012 at 2:35 pm, a white male walked into the Centennial Bank located at 8232 Woodville Highway, approached a teller, passed a note demanding money and then left the bank with
an undisclosed amount of cash.

Surveillance images of the suspect were disseminated to media outlets attempting to identify and locate the suspect.

Following media coverage of the robbery, detectives received information from a citizen who recognized 37 year old Gary Wilson as the person seen in the surveillance images.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Wilson’s arrest and the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force took Wilson into custody on August 22, 2012.

Wilson was taken into custody in the 1500 block of Jeremy Drive. Wilson was taken to the Leon County Jail.

Surveillance images have been released of a suspect Leon County Sheriff's deputies believe robbed the Centennial Bank in Woodville.

Deputies say at around 2:30, the suspect walked into the bank wearing jeans, a dark colored shirt and a ball cap. He approached a teller, passed a note demanding money and then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's wearing glasses and facial hair. He is
approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds.

Woodville, Florida- August 3, 2012- 5:45 pm

According to James McQuaig with the Leon County Sheriff's Office, a robbery happened at about 2:30 this afternoon at a Centennial Bank in Woodville, just south of Tallahassee.

The suspect is described as a white man, about six feet tall. He was wearing glasses and had facial hair. We will have more information as it comes into our newsroom.

No customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. Officers are speaking with employees who were present during the incident.
