Tallahassee, FL - U.S. Representative Steve Southerland spoke at a meeting for the Network of Entrepreneurs and Business Advocates (NEBA) Tuesday afternoon.
The group says this was not a campaign stop, rather an opportunity to discuss political issues.
Southerland answered questions on the budget; and said in nine years, Medicare will be a plan that people can depend on.
NEBA President Mark Trafton says, "We represent over 160 small businesses throughout Leon County. What's going on in Washington, D.C. is very important, not just to the nation as a whole, but, to small businesses. Overall, it was very informative. I think all small business owners that were here came away with something productive."
Trafton says challenger Al Lawson was also invited but did not attend.
