New training means first responders in Leon County are prepared when a child goes missing.
The new public safety center in Tallahassee has teamed up with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Each 911 dispatcher has gone through five hours of additional training to gain accreditation.
This information helps those ask specific questions to better find that missing child.
"Those questions are being asked so we can shorten the time span and getting resources to that family in need," said director Tim Lee.
