Starting next year, elections offices across the state will make electronic voting available at least 45 days before election day.

This will make voting electronically and by absentee paper ballots available at the same time.

The measure passed the Georgia General Assembly earlier this year.

"I think it's a good Idea because you don't have to deal with the paper ballots," said Jason West, a Lowndes County voter. "And it's a little more green than it used to be. Save a little bit of paper, do something for the environment."

The revised law will take effect for the 2011 election cycle.
