FAMU Kicks Off 2012 Homecoming [SLIDE SHOW]

Tallahassee, FL - November 5, 2012 - The FAMU Rattlers are gearing up for their big game this weekend.

The homecoming game is this Saturday.

The fun has already begun. Homecoming officially kicked-off over the weekend with the Rattler 5K Challenge and Wellness Expo.

The fun and learning doesn't end until next Sunday, we've included the word, learning, too, because events like the one that just ended here on the set are are educational.

Today was Spirit and Service Day. Service day gave student organizations the opportunity to promote their services and show how they are a positive influence in the community.


Tallahassee, FL - November 5, 2012 - It's Homecoming Week at FAMU, and campus has already been overflowing with school pride.

Students have been out here all day enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit of Homecoming Week at FAMU. This year's theme is Ignite the Strike: 125 Years of Excellence

A talent showcase and comedy show is tonight at 7:00 at the Lawson Center. FAMU alum Roy Wood is a part of the comedian line-up.

FAMU Release

Tallahassee, FL - November 3, 2012 - "It's time to ignite the strike!" That's the slogan for this year's FAMU homecoming.

The celebration kicks off this weekend and it's their 125th anniversary.

During homecoming week, FAMU will recognize 125 outstanding alumni, go up against North Carolina Central University in football and host a ton of fun events.

"FAMU's going to be really crowded, there's going to be a lot of events going on at once, there's going to be a lot of festivities, good food, it's going to be fun," said FAMU student, Kenneth Stegall.
