Farm Share Collects Record Amount of Food

Press Release: Farm Share

Farm Share collected more than three million pounds of fresh vegetables, fruits and other nutritious food during the Month of March, setting a record amount!

In our 21 years of existence, the last time Farm Share was able to collect this amount of fresh and nutritious food was in 2001 when the Florida Legislature provided $940,000 in state funds to help us feed the hungry. That same year, Farm Share collected and distributed a record total of 30.2 million pounds of food.

Farm Share is preparing to serve thousands of hungry veterans and their families during two large community events this week; one in North Florida and the other in South Florida.

Today, Farm Share Quincy is delivering a truck load of food, drinks, blankets and other essentials for homeless veterans and their families participating in the "Stand Down" at the North Florida Fairgrounds in Tallahassee, April 5-7.

Farm Share is honored to be able to give back to our country's veterans who have served and sacrificed for us all.
