Crawfordville, FL-November 21, 2012 - Wakulla County EMS is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Captain Marshall Bradford was killed in a motorcycle crash just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Bradford was riding north along U.S. 319 when he went off the road and hit a tree and was killed.
Bradford has been a member of Wakulla County EMS for about 5 years. He was promoted to the rank of caption only two weeks ago.
"He was like a brother to all of us here and he will be missed tremendously. His zest for life reviled no one," says Dylan Jones, who worked with Bradford.
FHP says Bradford was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and believes alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Crawfordville, FL - Marshall Wallace Bradford, age 35, of Crawfordville was killed in a one-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning.
At 12:40 am Wednesday November 21st, Bradford was driving a 2012 Harley Sportster traveling northbound on US 319. The Sportster traveled onto the east grass shoulder and the left side of the motorcycle struck a tree.
The Sportster came to final rest north of the tree on the east shoulder.
Bradford was fatally injured in this crash and pronounced deceased on scene.
Alcohol was a factor in this accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted by the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and Wakulla County Emergency Medical Services.
