"We just guess around 200, 250 trees and power lines all down all over the county," said chief Rod Strickland. "We've had a lot of house fires and we've had a lot of medical calls."

Some of the dangers with the flooding don't have to do with power lines or trees.

"Snakes that come up washed out of the weeds and stuff, you got all of these big fire ant beds," said firefighter Tom Clore.

With more and more rain in the forecast, towns that rely on tourism to support its residents, are hoping Debby leaves sooner rather than later.

"This is a money making town you have all the businesses that rely on tourists to come."

Money that will be much needed when the waters finally recede.
