TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Florida Gov. Rick Scott is using social media to tout the latest jobless numbers.
The Scott administration on Friday plans to use a new twitter account -- (at)ItsWorkingFL-- to announce April unemployment figures for the state.
The state's jobless rate in March dropped to 7.5 percent. That's the lowest level the rate has been since 2008.
Scott has made job creation a central focus of his administration.
The governor also plans to talk about the latest unemployment figures during a Friday morning stop at a Tampa manufacturing firm.
Scott also plans on his visit to sign a bill dealing giving a tax break to manufacturers. The bill was one of his top priorities this year.
