Governor Rick Scott and the first lady were the guests of honor at a dinner for republican women tonight.
The Florida Federation of Republican Women hosted a banquet dinner to celebrate their 61st annual board of directors meeting.
125 women from 55 counties around the state came out for the celebration and to honor the Governor at Hotel Duval's ballroom.
"We are celebrating this particular year as the shattering of the glass ceiling because while each and every year, we feel as though we make strides in the state legislature and also in congress, this year, we hit a grand slam," said Cindy Graves.
The Florida Federation of Republican Women is the largest grassroots organization in Florida besides the Republican Party of Florida.

Yes, 2011 was one of the best conferences ever. Thanks to Cynthia Graves (Jacksonville) and Christine Sutherland (Naples) for organzing this great meeting. Federated Republican Women ROCK!!!
The joke's on you "Anonymous"... The Federated Women rock this state year in and year out. Whether you agree with them or not you cannot deny their dedication and hard work that has earned them the respect of our new governor, the entire cabinet, and elected officials across the state. Republican women everywhere prove to be the backbone of successful politics in their states.
What another great meeting by the Republican Women of Florida. We had the best line up of speakers who were the elite of GOP leadership in our state. Congratulations especially to Cindy Graves and the rest of the women for putting on such an excellent and exciting event. Can't wait for the next stop in Orlando!
