Four Killed in I-95 Crash Identified

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have identified four people killed when a man being pursued by police drove into opposing traffic on a South Florida highway.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the victims as Dennis Ryan Rinon Ortiz of California, Albertson Anthony Almase of Fort Lauderdale, his sister Kristina Almase of Fort Lauderdale and Lily Marie Azarcon of the Phillippines.

Albertson Almase was a petty officer 2nd class in the Navy and stationed in San Diego.

The four victims were in a minivan struck head-on early Wednesday on Interstate 95 by an SUV.

An Opa-locka police officer initially attempted to pull over the SUV for a traffic infraction. The SUV's driver suffered two broken legs in the crash. He faces four counts of vehicular homicide.
