Tallahassee, FL --June 16, 2012--
Day two of the Annual Graduate Research Association of Students in Pharmacy or GRASP kicked off Saturday 6-16-12
GRASP pairs pharmacy students and those working in the field together to share and network ideas.
"For a graduate student pursuing a Masters or a Ph.D. program or Post Docs, who are doing research after their Ph.D., it's very important to know what they are doing with other colleagues in the country and to interact and know where they stand with other colleagues," says FAMU Pharmaceutical Professor Mandip Singh Sachdeva.
FAMU hosted this year's event. It's the second time in the last five years FAMU has been the host.

Tallahassee, FL --June 15, 2012--
The Florida A&M University chapter of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists hosted the 32nd Annual Graduate Research Association of Students in Pharmacy or GRASP Conference.
The conference is organized by FAMU Pharmaceutical graduate students. It helps students network with others across the country. About 70 schools are part of the program. But FAMU holds a distinct honor among them.
"FAMU happens to be the only historically Black University to have a student chapter. It also happens to be the only HBC to host. So this is a high point of pride for us," says Terric Andey of GRASP.
This year's conference featured development workshops and lectures from pharmaceutical companies.
