Associated Press Release
COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities in western Georgia say a 73-year-old woman has died after being run over by her own car.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan tells the Ledger-Enquirer of Columbus (http://bit.ly/15wCw8G) that Martha Hardeman was found dead in her driveway by a neighbor who came to check on her Monday.
Authorities say as the woman got out of her car, the side mirror knocked her down and the car backed over her. When police arrived, one of the car's tires was on top of the woman's chest.
Officials say the woman was holding a garage door opener when medics arrived.
