Elder Care Services, Inc. Release: A Heart That Serves Memorial Fund Established at Elder Care Services Benefiting Meals on Wheels
TALLAHASSEE, FL – January 30, 2013 - Elder Care Services is proud to announce the establishment of the A Heart That Serves Memorial Fund benefiting Meals on Wheels. The fund will allow donations to directly support ECS’ Meals on Wheels Program, now and into its future. It will also ensure that home-bound seniors continue to receive hot meals and allow them to remain in the comfort of their home. Founding donors include Ms. Susan Fortin, Ms. Diane Hale, Ms. Joanne Hale Lazar (all in honor of their mother, Ms. Eleanor Hale) and Dr. & Mrs. Michael Joyce.
“We are grateful for our Meals on Wheels volunteers and their continued commitment to Elder Care Services with the creation of this memorial fund,” said Janet E. Ferris, Chairwoman of Elder Care Services Board of Directors. “The fund will provide a permanent source of revenue to support our mission for generations to come,” said Ferris.
“It was one of our mother’s most favorite things to participate in, and she looked forward to her weekly Meals on Wheels route,” said Ms. Susan Fortin, oldest daughter of the late Ms. Eleanor Hale. “This is our way of creating a lasting legacy for our mother who contributed to Elder Care's 43 year tradition of helping those seniors in need,” said Lazar.
Contributions to the A Heart That Serves Memorial Fund may be made to Elder Care Services, Inc. designated for the memorial fund.
