Kidz1stfund Gets $500 Donation

Tallahassee, FL-One local charity got a big donation Monday.

The Kidz 1st Fund received a $500 dollar check as the charity of choice of Tallahassee Magazine's Top Salon contest winner.

Each year Tallahassee Magazine along with its readers selects the area's best salon. This year's winner was Ardan.

A donation is also made to the winning salon's charity of choice.

The Kidz 1st Fund raises awareness for Fanconi Anemia, a rare blood disorder that Ethan, the son of Jimbo and Candi Fisher has.

"It's been incredible. We've gotten a lot of support. We're just happy people keep choosing our fund to be the one they want to support," said Candi Fisher.

The charity also receives $5,000 dollar media sponsorship through Tallahassee Magazine. While the winning salon is awarded a $10,000 dollar advertising package.
