Lee, FL - The Lee Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual Independence Day celebration Saturday, July 6, which includes, you guessed it, fireworks!
They always hold it the event the Saturday after the Fourth of July unless that lands on a Saturday.
The event will be next to the fire department at Lake Brittany in Lee.
It will include local bands, as well as food and drinks for sale.
"We've gotten very very positive responses from the community. Everybody has been very excited and impressed by the show," said Kent Koptuich, a volunteer fireman for Lee.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and the fireworks are scheduled for 9 p-m, pending the weather.
