Tallahassee, FL - A former assistant principal has filed a lawsuit against Leon County Schools Superintendent Jackie Pons.
The lawsuit says Kimberly Hackett, who was the assistant principal at Swift Creek Middle School, complained to the principal about bookkeeping deficiencies by the bookkeeper last July.
It says Hackett's position was not renewed and she was offered a role as a classroom teacher instead.
Hackett's claims race-based discrimination and mistreatment.
The Leon County Schools spokesperson says Superintendent Pons cannot comment on the lawsuit.
