Tallahassee, FL - December 2, 2012

Today at 2:30 p.m. the Tallahassee Professional Firefighters Association hosted their annual Shop with a Firefighter at Wal-mart located at 5500 Thomasville Road.

For more than ten years Tallahassee firefighters have been involved with taking children from our area who are less fortunate and giving them a shopping experience of a lifetime.

Each child is paired up with an off-duty firefighter and sent on a shopping spree with $100 to spend. The children are selected by the Children’s Home Society and are usually between housing and are not likely to experience a normal Christmas.
