Tallahassee, FL - Human and sex trafficking. Restoration of rights for felons.

Those were some of the issues discussed Saturday at a education forum held by the local chapter of a national sorority.

The Chi Upsilon Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted the event at the Walker-Ford community center.

They had numerous speeches from groups like the league of women voters and the refuge house.

Booths were also set up to give out information on voting, volunteerism and safety in the community.

"This is the second year that we've done this to educate our community to the services that many of the agents that we may not often visit...let them know these services are available to them," said sorority member, Dianne Williams-Cox.

There was a clothing giveaway and other free items. Sorority members say they are always available to help out in the community. We have posted their information on our website, wctv.tv.
