Press Release: WAY Ministries
The WAY (Winning America’s Youth) Ministries of Tallahassee, Inc. is a non-profit youth organization established in 1994. This year we celebrate 20 year of service in Tallahassee and surrounding communities.
One of our main outreach ministries at The WAY Ministries is the Capital City Christian Cruisers (CCCC) Track and Field Club. This Club is open to boys and girls ages 5-18. Established in 1995 CCCC's cornerstone is our dedication to reduce the number of at-risk youth entering the juvenile justice system by providing educational and socially acceptable recreation and leisure-time activities.
CCCC competes yearly, in local and state track meets. This has been our endeavor since our conception. Since May 2014 we have qualified 22 youth to compete in the AAU National Track and Field Junior Olympics, which will be held in Des Moines, IA on July 28 – August 2, 2014. Our Athletes will compete in events such as the long jump, shot put, triple jump, 80 meter hurdles, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, and 4x100 meters relay.
It is an awesome accomplishment to make it to the Junior Olympics and we are so proud of our athletes. We are raising funds to cover the cost for these athletes to attend the Junior Olympics.
