BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) -- Deputies are searching for a man who disappeared after jumping with friends into the water off a southwest Florida bridge.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says three young men jumped off the New Pass Bridge in Bonita Springs early Sunday for fun.

Two of the men, 23-year-old Cody Hilton and 27-year-old Eliseo Ruth Jr., were able to swim out of the water.

A third man, 23-year-old Jesse Ruth of Fort Myers, did not make it to shore.
