Tallahassee, FL - Leon County deputies have recovered the body of a man they say drowned in a sinkhole.
The body of a man family and friends have identified as Dominique Hollis was found around 9:30 Monday morning.
Deputies say Hollis and some friends were swimming at a sinkhole off of Crawfordville Highway Sunday when Hollis jumped into the water and began struggling to swim.
Deputies say his friends tried to help, but were unsuccessful.
Family and friends of Hollis describe him as a sweet, kind, young man who always had a smile on his face.
They say he enjoyed singing Gospel music, dancing and shopping.
They say he had just started a new job at Applebee's.
An autopsy is being conducted today to determine his official cause of death.

Tallahassee, FL-A man is dead after drowning at a Leon County sinkhole.
Leon County Deputies responded to a sinkhole in the 4200 block of Crawfordville Highway around 5:45 p.m. Sunday for a reported drowning.
Deputies say a man went there to swim with a group of friends when he jumped into the sinkhole and began having trouble swimming.
Some of his friends tried to help him, but were unsuccessful.
Family and friends have identified the man as Dominique Hollis. They say he is in his mid 20s.
Family and friends describe him as a good and caring young man who was unselfish and always there for others.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office Tactical Dive team is using expert divers to help search the underwater caves connected to the sinkhole as they try to recover the body.
