Valdosta, GA - Protestors rally and march at the Lowndes County Courthouse Saturday for a teenager found dead in his high school gym.

"We all just talk, talk, talk but now it's time to stand up and fight," said Kenneth Johnson.

Johnson's son, Kendrick, was found in a rolled up gym mat in the Lowndes High School Gym more than five months ago. Since then his family has protested how the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office handled the investigation. And Saturday at the Lowndes County Courthouse was no different. Except for one notable addition... The NAACP.

"I bring with me support of the national office that says we are now officially involved in this case and want to make sure this family gets justice," said NAACP Georgia State President Edward DuBose.

This was the first major rally since the Johnson's exhumed Kendrick's body for a second autopsy by a forensic pathologist based in Orlando.

When asked if she was satisfied with the official GBI report, Johnson's Grandmother, Barbara English, said "Oh no, no. We believe with all our heart it wasn't no accident. And we are hoping and praying that's what this autopsy will show."

The Johnson family attorney says the second autopsy will be completed in less than two weeks.

The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office has not commented on the second autopsy. We'll bring you the results as soon as they become available.
