UPDATED July 3, 2013

Tallahassee, FL - A Tallahassee massage therapist was convicted today of sexually assaulting a client back in April 2012.

A jury deliberated for an hour before finding Christopher Thorpe guilty of sexual battery.

Prosecutors say the victim purchased a massage on line.

Prosecutors say the woman disrobed and laid face down on the table and that's when Thorpe assaulted her.

He'll be sentenced on August 15th.

Thorpe is still awaiting trial on charges that he sexually battered another client.

Tallahassee Police say during their investigation, eight women complained that Thorpe touched them inappropriately during a massage.

[UPDATE] April, 19, 2012

Christopher Thorpe turned himself into authorities on April 17th. The victims say Thorpe put his hands inside them. One of them claims he had sex with her. TPD says there may be more victims.

"We have these two cases but we believe that there may be someone else out there who has not come forward yet. And we would ask them to please come forward so we can put an end to this and put this person behind bars," said Officer David Northway with the Tallahassee Police Department.

Thorpe calls his business Gifted Hands but operated out of the Enjoy Life Rehabilitation Center.. He offered discount massages through the website Living Social.

The owner of Enjoy Life wants to make it clear that Thorpe was not her employee, he just rented space there.

Nicole Mortimer said she was shocked and in disbelief when investigators questioned her back on April second.

"That same day, took his key, removed his security code and escorted him off the premises," said Mortimer.

Thorpe took his massage classes at the Core Institute. He graduated two years ago.

The owner said, "We are proud of our 1300 plus graduates who have successfully and ethically practiced massage therapy."

Mortimer said she is saddened by the turn of events. She wants the public to know that massage therapy and physical therapy are safe services.

"For anybody, whether they come here or any facility, if at anytime anybody feels uncomfortable, say something. If you don't feel right, get up, leave say something," said Mortimer.

Tallahassee, FL - April 19, 2012 - Noon

Police are asking anyone who may have been sexually assaulted by a local massage therapist to come forward. The licensed therapist has already been charged with sexual battery against two of his clients.

Eyewitness News has obtained the police report. Some of the details of the case are quite graphic. According to the report, the victim had purchased a massage on the website Living Social.

The masseuse, Christopher Thorpe, is a licensed massage therapist and operated his business under the name Gifted Hands. In the report, the victim said that during her massage, Thorpe touched her inappropriately, then climbed on top of her and had sex with her. The report says the victim said she tried to push Thorpe off of her. A second victim came forward during the investigation and Tallahassee Police Officials are concerned there may be more victims out there.

"We would hope that if you experienced such a horrible situation, you would want it to be brought to light and to justice," says Officer Dave Northway with the Tallahassee Police Department.

In the report, Thorpe claims to have performed more than 300 massages. He rented space at the Enjoy Life Rehabilitation Center on South Monroe Street. However, the owner there says Thorpe was not an employee of Enjoy Life.

Your name says it all. You are definitely a joke. This guy is a sack of excrement and deserves to be punished by the max penalty, unless they were white women. In that case we should release him and drop charges immediately, if not sooner. God knows black people should be allowed to commit any crime imaginable against white people as payment for things that happened long before I was born, when my great grandparents lived in Europe. Hope you're catching the sarcasm cause I'm layin it on thick.

The joke is clearly on all the fools who thought they knew Chris. Makes me laugh how desperatley you want to paint him as the good guy. We got a person below saying he was a cheater and more, but hey HE WAS A GREAT GUY. Another one saying He was in a marriage that he wasn't happy in but HEY HE is a great guy.. So I guess CHris was a great guy who happened to stick his fingers where he wasn't suppose to and jumped on a woman that wasn't his wife. BUT HEY Chris is a GREAT GUY.. O_o

I would to say that I don't know Mr. Thorpe's background, but I can honestly say he has tried me and a few of my associates!! He is very flirtatious-and possibly might have a sex addiction!!! I'm not here to judge but just stating the truth!!!!

has anyone wondered why we don't have chris side, why tpd only reported one side of this story, why tpd is asking for any other women to come forward, may be because the two they have story is not very promising, and they need to build a case because they don't have one, look at what we're doing a white or hispanic are what ever can kill a black boy and it take the president to get involved to get him arrested,a woman can alledge she was assaulted and they use we as black people to help them lock him up,people we need to stop hurting each other, stop doing there job when we don't have all the facts because I believe there more to the story than being told.

Its amazing to me how people are so quick to judge without knowing ALL of the FACTS not just the allegations. I am disgusted and disappointed that Chris has brought public embarrassment to his wife, mother,& family, but I DO NOT believe this was sexual assault. Unfortunately he must live with the consequences of his choice to have sex with his client, but he's no rapist. May God give his wife & family strength to keep their heads up & make it through this ordeal.

public embarrasement??? Are you kidding me?? What about the victims??? Who is worrying about them?? Just cause you know the guy and you claim he is a great guy doesn't necessary mean you know ALL OF HIS SECRETS... The vicitms are going through public embarrassment becasue everyone is targeting them. THey are the VICTIMS not the OTHER WAY AROUND!!! IF you call yourself a friend of his, You should have helped him get the help he needed four years ago. This guy clearly has issues that he needs help with. I don;t know him but there are public record that CLEARLY points to it!!

1st of all "anonymous" I did not say he was a great guy. 2nd- I did not say I'm a friend of his. 3rd- I'm speaking to the embarrassment that his wife, mother, and family, who are innocent as well, have experienced in all of this. 4th- at this point, the victims have not experienced any public humiliation because they are and will NEVER be indentified to us UNLESS they choose to put their own names out there. SO BEFORE YOU GO OFF ON ME...READ THE POST CORRECTLY AND GO OFF ON SOMEONE ELSE!!!

Why would anyone submit their body to be touched by a "local massage therapist" without knowing something about the person's background? From the postings its seems like a lot of information is readily available.
