Midway Police Make Arrest In Stabbing, Victim Released From Hospital

Midway, FL - Captain Turner with the Midway Police Department reports that the victim received stitches and was released from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital at about 8:30 last night.

Police are still investigating and have officers out looking for the weapon used to stab him.

Midway, Fla. -- On March, 19, 2013 at approximately 3:30pm, Midway Police Officers responded to a location off Brickyard Road in reference to a medical call. Once on scene, they realized that the victim was actually stabbed.

The victim was identified as Mr. Tanya Moss, 28, of Tallahassee. After a brief investigation, the victim stated who the suspect was and the last direction of travel; Midway Police officers then put out a BOLO for the suspect vehicle.

Shortly thereafter, officers then spotted the suspect vehicle on Highway 90 Eastbound and made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle just before the Leon County line. The suspect was then identified as Ms. Markeisha Jackson, 22, of Tallahassee. The suspect admitted to being involved in the incident.

The suspect will be charged with: Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Gadsden County Jail without incident.
