TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- "We miss her so much and I hope she comes home," said Kaylee Phillips, the younger sister of missing 14-year-old Adelle Burns.
Adelle Burns was last seen at her family home in the 3200 block of Katherine Speed Court, August 26th. She's described as 5'3" with brown hair and eyes, and was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
Her family hopes that a campaign of electronic billboards, signs and posts on social media will help find her.
"We have the billboards from Lamar," said Adelle's mother, Glenna Phillips. "We have our own sign, we ride around in our mobile billboard in the back of our truck, just for people passing by...and eye-catchers helped me with that, they were awesome. We have Matco tool men, they're riding around with her poster on their vehicle, just to be seen."
Right now, the Leon County Sheriff's Office is still investigating Burns' disappearance.
The family has decided to take things into their own hands to find her. They are also offering a $1,000 reward for anyone who has information on where Adelle may be.
"That's all we want is her home safe. We love her so much," said her grandmother, Diane Burns.
"I just want her to come home," said her father Bryan Phillips. "I miss her, we all miss you. We love you and I'm gonna keep searching until we find you."
If you have any information, call the Leon County Sheriff's Office at (850) 606-3300.
