New Waste Disposal Ordinance Begins on Friday
-- Valdosta, Ga. -- January 31, 2013 --
A new waste collection and disposal ordinance takes effect on Friday, February 1st. The ordinance replaces the current system for people living in the unincorporated parts of Lowndes County who take their trash to recycling centers or dumps.
This new service will be a curbside pickup. People living in the unincorporated parts of the county will have to pay $12.80 per month for the service. That price will not go up for another year.
