One Arrested In Alleged Assault Altercation In Perry

A local woman is behind bars after shooting warning shots in the air following a fight between her fiancé and another man.

It all happened in Taylor County this evening, and the woman is facing multiple charges.

Deborah Campbell is currently booked is currently booked in the Taylor County Jail.

Her fiancé says he went outside when he heard her arguing with someone. He noticed a truck was in a driveway blocking the entrance to his property.

Albert Ward said he asked the guy to move the truck, but instead was met with a punch. He then says his fiancée tried to break everything up with gun shots in the air, and she was arrested.

"I asked the guy, there was a guy there to move his truck. The next thing I know, the guy is clinching me in the face, which you can see the blood that is still on my shirt and on my nose," said Ward.

WCTV contacted the Taylor County Sheriff's Office and the Sheriff who were not available for comment.

A witness says he saw an officer arrest the woman after seeing her shoot the gun in the air.

She's facing charges of:

  • Aggravated Assault

  • Resisting with Violence

  • Discharge of a Weapon in Public

  • Battery
