One Person is Dead After a Car Overturned

Gadsden County - August 19, 2012

One person is dead after a car overturned Sunday Morning in Gadsden County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Franklin Weston Jr. was traveling west on County Road 12 east of County Road 12B.

The right side tires of the car traveled onto the north shoulder. Weston Jr. steered hard left causing his 2005 Malibu Chevrolet to rotate counterclockwise.

According to FHP, the car traveled in a south easterly direction crossing both east and westbound lanes and entered the ditch on the south shoulder of County Road 12. The vehicle overturned in the ditch and came to final rest on its roof.

According to FHP, Weston Jr., the driver, was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in serious condition. A toxicology report is pending.

His passenger, 36-year-old Reginald Bullock was also taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead. According to FHP, he was not wearing his seatbelt.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Havana Police Department, Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Gadsden County EMS, Havana Volunteer Fire Department, and Concord Volunteer Fire
Department.
