Press Release: Florida Department of Transportation
Chipley – Motorists can expect alternating lane closures Monday, Sept. 30 through Friday, Oct. 4 on Tennessee Street (U.S. 90) between Ocala Road and Monroe Street in Tallahassee to allow construction crews to lower storm sewer man holes and gas valves. Lane closures will remain in effect from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes.
To minimize impacts along the corridor, construction activities involving lane closures will be performed at night. There will be no lane closures on FSU and FAMU home football game weekends or during other major activities and events. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times. While one lane of traffic will be open, drivers and pedestrians can expect temporary delays.
All construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone. For more Florida Department of Transportation District Three information follow us on twitter @MyFDOT_NWFL.
