Tallahassee, FL, January 21, 2013, 11:02pm - All three floors of the Brogan Museum were set up for kids to have an interactive experience while enjoying a local celebration of the second inauguration of President Barack Obama. President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Jack & Jill, Dr. Yolanda Bogan says “we're very excited to be a part of the Tallahassee community for the last 61 years and one of our partners has been the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend area so we're very excited to continue to contribute to the Tallahassee community."

President of the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend, Theresa Flury says events like the Pink White and Blue Ball not only help raise money for the organization but also awareness. She says, "every dollar helps. 100 percent of our kids are on scholarship to attend one of the clubs so every dollar raised really helps us with programming. We were really hoping for a 20 percent increase from last year to this year in members and actually we've almost seen a 100 percent increase."

A silent auction of children’s art from local organizations, live jazz, a steel drum corps, dancing and even inauguration fashion shows were just some of the events taking place at the ball. Bogan says "we'll also have some spontaneous rapping going on with our teens, something that many teens enjoy doing and listening to."

This is the first time the Tallahassee chapter of Jack & Jill has put together an event this size and are excited that it will help so many local organizations. Chapter Team President of Jack & Jill, Maya King says, "it's great for the community, it benefits the Brogan, it benefits the Boys & Girls Club and it also benefits our Jack & Jill Foundation so it goes to a variety of good causes."

Today is also Jack & Jill foundations 75th birthday and the event was named after their colors which are pink and blue.
