WANTED: Police Search For Suspect In Valdosta Shooting

An arrest warrant for Aggravated Assault has been issued on William Earl Hollomon in reference to the shooting incident at the Studio Courtyard Apartments this morning.

Holloman is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information about the location of Holloman is urged to contact law enforcement.

On September 6, 2013 at approximately 0118 hours, the Valdosta Police Department responded to the Studio Courtyard Apartments, 1809 N. Ashley Street, room number 118, in reference to the report of someone being shot. Officers arrived on scene and located Darrell McCloud with a single gunshot wound to his lower abdomen. EMS responded and transported McCloud to the South Georgia Medical Center ER.

According to witnesses the offender fled the area on foot. Officers conducted a search of the area, but were unable to locate the offender. Detectives from the Valdosta Police Department Persons Crime Unit and a Crime Scene Technician from the Valdosta-Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory responded to investigate. The incident is still under investigation, but the offender has been identified and an update with the offender’s name will be sent out as soon as an arrest warrant is signed.
